A brief history of Martello Piling

2002

Established in 2002, Martello entered the market offering a revolutionary new piling system which enables the construction of large diameter piling in restricted access and low headroom conditions.

 
2002

Martello delivers their first contract at Wooferton, London.

2004

Martello launches their latest specialist piling rigs, The MP5000 Series, at Well Park Brewery. Martello cored 900mm dia. through reinforced concrete.

 
2006

Martello undertook their first contract at Wimbledon Centre Court, home to the oldest tennis tournament in the world.

2007

Martello were contracted to install piles to support the Cutty Sark Museum structure.

2009

Successful installation of 6no. 900mm diameter piles within the confines of a 3.5m x 3.5m flood arch using The Martello Technique.

2010

Using both the MP4000 and MP5000 series, Martello installed piled foundations to support the redevelopment of Blackfriars Station.

2011

Martello secures CROSSRAIL projects at Lord Hills Bridge, Pudding Mill Lane, Reading and Westbourne.

2012

For the extension to the British Museum, Martello installed a lift shaft liner for the safe and secure delivery of artefacts.

2013

Martello secures CROSSRAIL projects at Olympic Park, Farringdon Station, Stockley Flyover, London Bridge Dungeons and City Mill River.

2014

Martello delivers a technically challenging project at Leeds Station. Installing 24no. piles from a floating pontoon.

2015

Martello secured the low headroom piling package for the development of TwentyTwo Bishopsgate - London’s second tallest sky scraper.

2016

Martello secures low headroom piling for the M3 Smart Motorway upgrade.

2016

Martello expands into the mainstream piling market delivering deep basement piles at Grosvenor Crescent, London.

2016/2017

Martello designs and fabricates a plunge column frame to allow for top-down construction at Mayfair Park Residences, London.

2017

Martello are acquired by Franki Foundations U.K.





2017

Martello successfully completes their first project overseas in Belgium.

2018

Martello secures and delivers their largest project to date in Westminster, London.

2019

Martello launches MP4004, their latest addition to the MP4000 series piling rigs.

2019

Martello launches their latest bespoke rig, the MP6002. Capable of installing 1500mm diameter piles within 10m of headroom.
